Phthalate esters are not used in the manufacture of the Berkey Light® system chambers. Additionally, the Black Berkey® purification element reduces certain phthalates, including Butylbenzylphthalate and Diethylphthalate. The A/C adapter that comes with the Berkey Light® requires 110V AC power. We do offer a voltage converter for our international customers.
