The Berkey PF-4™ Element, or fluoride and arsenic reduction elements, work in conjunction with the Berkey Earth® DE Filter Elements to absorb unwanted elements found in drinking water. The Berkey PF-4™ Elements filters out fluoride, arsenic, and other heavy metal ions. The Berkey PF-4™ Element is made of non-leaching Polypropylene *5 and is BPA-free. The Berkey PF-4™ Elements are sold as a set of two and have a lifespan of approximately 1,000 gallons per set. The fluoride reduction elements attach to the Berkey Earth® DE Filter Elements or Super Sterasyl™ Ceramic Filter Elements and rest in the bottom chamber of the Berkey systems. The number of Berkey PF-4™ Elements installed must match the number of Berkey Earth® DE Filter Elements or Super Sterasyl™ Ceramic Filter Elements installed, in order for them to be effective.
