New Millennium Concepts, Ltd. uses only the highest quality, highly polished AISI 304 grade stainless steel, known for its high corrosion and heat-resistant properties, in our Berkey® Water systems. It is equivalent to high quality 18/8 stainless steel cookware.
New Millennium Concepts, Ltd has made a change in the plugs utilized in the Berkey Light® systems. We have slightly enlarged the element holes in the upper chamber of the Berkey Light® system. Accordingly, we have also slightly increased the diameter of the blocking plugs. To view detailed information about this change please click here.
Unopened bottles of the Fuel Stabilizer have an indefinite shelf life; once opened, the shelf life is three years. This product should be stored out of direct sunlight and in a cool place.
I am in an area that is contaminated with too many viruses and/or bacteria. Even with filtration, I don’t feel safe drinking the water. What can I do to disinfect the water before filtering it?
The Berkey water purification systems can efficiently purify raw untreated pond, lake and river water. However, always use the cleanest and clearest water possible. As an additional precaution, if using a source of water that you believe might contain extreme viral and bacteriological contamination, it is recommended by the CDC, EPA and other organizations that […]
If Arsenic is removed using Black Berkey® Purification Elements then what is the need for Berkey PF-2™ Elements?
NMCL’s most recent laboratory testing indicates that the Black Berkey® Purification Elements reduce Arsenic up to 99.9%. Typically carbon based elements that reduce Arsenic begin to lose that ability rather quickly. This is likely the case with Black Berkey® Elements, which means that their efficiency at removing Arsenic likely plays out long before the 3,000-gallon […]
What is the maximum temperature that the Sport Berkey® can be stored at? I want to put it in the trunk of my car and need to know if it would be too hot.
The maximum amount of heat the Sport Berkey® can withstand is 115 degrees Fahrenheit.
60 PSI is the maximum amount of pressure a Berkey Shower Filter™ can withstand.
We determine the typical lifespan of the Black Berkey®Purification Elements by their ability to reduce heavy metals. The breakthrough of heavy minerals can occur at about 3,000 gallons. Heavy metals can leach through beyond 3,000 gallons. However, the elements can be used beyond that point because other reductions continue well beyond 3,000 gallons.
The Berkey PF-2™ Element, or fluoride and arsenic reduction elements, work in conjunction with the Black Berkey® Purification Elements to absorb unwanted elements found in drinking water. The Berkey PF-2™ Elements filters out fluoride, arsenic, and other heavy metal ions. The Berkey PF-2™ Element is made of non-leaching Polypropolene *5 and is BPA-free. The Berkey PF-2™ Elements […]
The Black Berkey® Purification Elements are the leader of gravity-fed water purifiers. Each element is designed to purify approximately 3,000 gallons of water before needing to be replaced; 2 elements in a Berkey® system will purify approximately 6,000 gallons of water before replacement is recommended. The Black Berkey® Purification Elements are sold as a set […]
